MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Minnesota dentist who prompted international outrage after admitting to shooting and killing Cecil the Lion in Zimbabwe this summer is now the butt of a gruesome Halloween costume.

The website costumeish.com is selling an item called “Lion Killer Dentist,” a reference to Minnesota dentist and trophy hunter Dr. Walter Palmer.

The costume comes with a severed lion’s head, blood-splattered smock and gloves, and dentist tools.

The California costume-maker says the product is so popular that its price was raised to $99, with 15 percent of the proceeds going to a “wildlife foundation.”
