MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — It’s your first chance to see a new addition at the Como Zoo: A baby giraffe just born Monday!
The yet-to-be-named female baby giraffe came into the world standing 5-feet-8-inches tall and weighing 135 pounds.
The baby could make her public debut Thursday if her mother Clover allows it. Giraffes have the option of roaming their outdoor yard or staying behind the scenes.
This is the sixth calf born to mom Clover and the 19th at the Como Zoo in 22 years.
