St. Thomas Academy To Host Posthumous Flynn Book Launch

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — A book launch event is set next month in St. Paul for "The Survivor," a political thriller completed after the death of best-selling author Vince Flynn.

Flynn started the book but died in 2013 before he could finish it. Another author, Kyle Mills, completed the book, which continues the adventures of Flynn's counterterrorism operative Mitch Rapp.

The book launch is set for Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. in Vincent J. Flynn Hall at St. Thomas Academy, Flynn's alma mater. Tickets are available online at www.cadets.com/VinceFlynn. Proceeds benefit St. Thomas Academy.

The program features two panel discussions, both moderated by WCCO-TV anchor Frank Vascellaro. One features Mills; Flynn's longtime editor, Emily Bestler; and Flynn's agent, Sloan Harris. The other includes Twin Cities media personalities Joe Soucheray, Dan Barreiro and Tom Barnard.
