Man Accused In 10-Year Crime Spree Charged With Identity Theft

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Minneapolis man with a lengthy criminal past faces new charges after police discovered hundreds of stolen items in his garage.

Officials believe 34-year-old Calvin Rogers has been stealing from vehicles parked in the ramp near the Hyatt on Nicollet Mall for nearly a decade.

Surveillance video shows him inside the lot nearly every week.

Police found nearly 300 stolen items in his north Minneapolis house.

Rogers was charged with identity theft, as investigators found several stolen several passports, drivers licenses and checks.
