Sheriff: 2 Boys Killed, 2 Adults Injured In Morrison Co. Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Two young brothers from Little Falls were killed and two adults were injured Sunday in a crash in Morrison County.

The fatal accident happened at about 1:10 p.m. at the intersection of Nature Road and Great River Road in Two Rivers Township, according to the Morrison County Sheriff's Office.

A Ford Taurus driven by 51-year-old Gail Minnerath, of Little Falls, failed to yield for a Dodge pickup truck driven by 45-year-old James Fogel, of Coon Rapids. The truck hit the car's passenger side, and both went into a ditch.

Twelve-year-old Justin Minnerath was pronounced dead at the scene, while 7-year-old Jonathan Minnerath later died at Minneapolis' Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. Gail Minnerath suffered serious injuries and was taken to St. Cloud Hospital.

Fogel suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to CHI St. Gabriel's Heath in St. Cloud.

The crash is still under investigation.
