DPS: Tommie-Johnnie Game To Snarl I-94 Traffic In Collegeville

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. (WCCO) -- The Minnesota State Patrol is warning college sports fans of major potential traffic issues in Collegeville this weekend.

The much-anticipated St. John's football game against St. Thomas is expected to draw huge, potentially record-breaking, crowds Saturday, and the Minnesota Department of Public Safety is asking motorists to plan ahead. Officials suggest Highway 10 and Highway 55 as alternative routes to Clemens Stadium.

Traffic is usually an issue on I-94 for the game, but added national attention could make things worse. This year, ESPN's Sportscenter On The Road will be covering and publicizing the game, drawing even more attention to the famous Minnesota college football rivalry.
