Pelican Lake Residents Threaten DNR With Lawsuit Over Muskie Stocking

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Home and cabin owners on Pelican Lake say the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has gone too far with stocking Muskie. Now, they're threatening to file a lawsuit to get them to stop.

The DNR has been stocking muskie in Pelican for 37 years. It's made the lake a muskie fishing paradise, but residents say it's also damaged the lake for walleye. They want DNR to stop stocking Muskie.

DNR officials say the lake is healthy. They say there's no evidence muskies are destroying walleye or other sport fish.
