WCCO Saturday Morning Links & Recap (Oct. 3)

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Fall is in the air, and Mike Augustyniak and Natalie Nyhus are setting aside the pumpkin spice to take in a few other great October happenings.

First up, Oktoberfest! One of the foremost places to enjoy the yearly highlight is at Black Forest Inn on Eat Street. Click here to see all they have on deck for this year's festivities.

On a more sinister note, October is also the month of spooky delights for horror hounds anticipating Halloween's arrival. On Saturday morning, Rachel Slavik dared to take in Scream Town in Chaska.

And of course, the other reason to cherish the season are all the blazing colors from our local foliage. Head over to Stillwater to check out the Fall Colors Fine Art and Music Festival.

If the chill in the air has you wanting to stay indoors, the Parade of Homes Remodelers Showcase is also happening right now.

This week in Mike's Mix, Mike invited the four bars that made it to the Iron Bartender Minneapolis Finals: La Belle Vie, Marvel Bar, Hola Arepa and Tattersall Distillery.

Cheese lovers know Wisconsin is usually the place to go, but why not check out Northeast Minneapolis? You won't believe how great the curds are, and that's just the beginning, as DeRusha Eats at Lone Grazer Cheese.

With more than one hundred orchards to choose from, everyone has their favorite. But Natalie asked you to vote for the Best of Minnesota, and you sent her to Pleasant Valley Orchard in Shafer.

Last but not least, the first major concert event for CHS Field in St. Paul is going on all day Saturday. Doomtree Zoo will feature a huge lineup of music of all different genres. There are also kid friendly activities like inflatables.
