A 24-year veteran of the Aitkin County Sheriff’s Office was shot and killed over the weekend while guarding a man at St. Cloud Hospital.

The Transportation Department is expected to unveil a requirement for drone operators to register their unmanned aerial vehicle Monday.
Despite FAA rules restricting drones near airports, pilots sighted more than 600 in the first seven months of the year.
The goal is to have the registry in place for the holidays, since many kids will be getting them for Christmas.
