Sartell Woman Shares 1st Wedding Dance With Marrow Donor Who Saved Her Life

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- For every bride, the wedding day is special. But for one woman in Sartell, it was also a day to say thank you.

Greta Perske was diagnosed with leukemia when she was a teen, and she needed a bone marrow transplant.

One was found on a national registry, a man named Danny Daniels, in Arkansas. Since then Greta has bounced back from the disease and got married earlier this month.

The St. Cloud Times reports Greta invited Danny to share the first dance with her at her wedding.

Greta says she wanted him to be there because he was the man who made the wedding possible -- by saving her life.
