MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The fall weather continues to offer up glorious days, so why not get out and enjoy it!
There are plenty of ways to experience autumn this weekend, and as it’s the final weekend before Halloween we found some spooky spots too.
Sever’s Corn Maze is celebrating Halloween a little early this year. On Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. guests can enjoy beer, food, live music and more.
There’s also a costume contest! Dress in your best rock inspired costume for a chance to win some great prizes as well.
Admission is $15.
How about some puppets in the park?
The BareBones Outdoor Halloween Puppet Extravaganza returns to Hidden Falls Regional Park for its 22nd year!
The show will feature illuminated puppets, stilt walkers, fire performers and even a live orchestra.
Performances are on Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m. Straw bale seating is limited so bring a blanket or chair. Donations are taken at the gate.
Who can resist a dog dressed up like a pumpkin?
Petco stores nationwide are celebrating the Halloween with a Spooktacular Pet Costume Contest Saturday afternoon.
Prizes and treats will be awarded including a mini-makeover grand prize.
The free family friendly event starts at 2 p.m.
If animals in costumes aren’t your thing, how about dogs on the big screen? The Bow Wow Film Festival is in Minneapolis this weekend.
The series of short films will highlight everything we love about dogs.
The festival begins at 7 p.m. Saturday Night at the Parkway Theater. Advance tickets are $12 or $7 for kids 12 and under.
Proceeds benefit local pet rescues.
