Woman Killed By Driver Suspected Of DWI Identified

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The female driver killed in an Inver Grove Heights crash this weekend has been identified. Meanwhile, the other driver faces serious charges in connection to the crash.

According to police, the crash occurred shortly after 3 p.m. Saturday in Inver Grove Heights at the corner of Dawn Avenue and 70th Street.

There, officers found a woman trapped inside her minivan with live electrical wires draped over it. Her car had hit a utility pole. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

On Monday, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as 42-year-old Kim Marie Caswell.

Twenty-one-year-old Nicholas Anthony Indehar was identified as being the driver of the other car involved. He had minor injuries but was responsive.

After being discharged from the hospital, Indehar was taken to the Dakota County Jail on charges of criminal vehicular homicide, driving while impaired, careless and reckless driving, stop sign violation and driving with a revoked driver's license.

Indehar has a history of driving violations.

The Inver Grove Heights Police Department is investigating.
