MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — It’s hard not to be Working for the Weekend with such an exciting weekend ahead. It’s Halloween, with so many spooky activities. Plus we have an extra hour to enjoy them as we fall back an hour.

Monster Dash

Plan to eat lots of candy this weekend? Do so guilt free by first running in the 2015 Half Marathon and 10-Mile Monster Dash! The race begins near the Cathedral of St. Paul at 8:30 Saturday. Costumes are encouraged!

It’s the final weekend to get your scare on at ValleySCARE.  Big kids and adults that can handle it can take in Halloween Haunt, with nearly 400 creatures of the night occupying 11 of the most intense and terrifying mazes and scare zones. During the day, tiny terrors can enjoy some not-so-scary family fun at Planet Spooky.

Northern Grade

Need a break from the ghosts and goblins? How about some shopping? This weekend, a pop-up store called Northern Grade will return to Minneapolis. In the past year, Northern Grade has been a hit from Moscow to Washington, D.C. The store opens in the Solar Arts Building in Northeast Minneapolis both Saturday and Sunday.

Minnesota United

Saturday is the last Minnesota United home match of the season. It’s also Fan Fest at the National Sports Center in Blaine featuring a Chris Hawkey concert. The kids can tailgate trunk or treat before the game and take part in a halftime kids costume parade. The match against the San Antonio Scorpions begins at 7 p.m.
