Ely Officer Charged With Criminal Sexual Conduct

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The St. Louis County Attorney's Office says an Ely police officer has been formally charged with having sex with a teen.

Sgt. Jason Allen Carlson, 37, was charged Friday with one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct for allegedly having sexual contact with a teenage girl last December.

Carlson, from Aurora, is a ten-year veteran of the Ely Police Department. He is now on supervised release with bail set at $15,000. His next court appearance is set for Dec. 21.
