MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Friday that the human remains found earlier this week in Douglas County belong to a missing Starbuck college student.

Laura Ann Schwendemann, 18, was last seen alive on the night of Oct. 14 at an Alexandria gas station. Her remains were found 12 days later by a farmer in Orange Township.
