Rand Paul To Bring Presidential Campaign To Minnesota

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul is making Minnesota stops in his presidential campaign ahead of the next big Republican debate.

Paul's campaign said Tuesday that the 2016 hopeful will appear at events in Minnesota on Monday, a day ahead of the debate in neighboring Wisconsin. Trip details are still being finalized.

Minnesota has seen little foot traffic so far among White House hopefuls as they focus on the states with earlier caucuses and primaries. Minnesota won't hold its presidential caucus until March 1.

Paul is the son of former Texas Rep. Ron Paul, who finished second in Minnesota's nonbinding caucus in 2012. But he eventually secured a majority of the state's delegates to the national GOP convention.

The younger Paul has struggled gain traction in a crowded 2016 race.
