Stillwater Man Gets 6 Years For Kidnapping, Raping 18-Year-Old

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Stillwater man was sentenced Monday to more than 6 years in prison for kidnapping an 18-year-old woman and raping her.

Jeremiah Daniel Johnson, 26, was sentenced in Washington County to 77 months behind bars and given credit for 135 days served, court officials say.

Last month, he pleaded guilty to kidnapping and criminal sexual conduct for the crime that happened in early July.

According to a criminal complaint, Johnson saw an 18-year-old woman intoxicated and passed out on a telephone pole on July 5. He then picked her up and dragged her into his car.

Later, investigators found the victim in the hallway to Johnson's apartment and discovered evidence of sexual contact in his home.
