MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — If you recently bought your Thanksgiving bird from Lunds & Byerlys, you may want to check the label.

The local grocery chain is issuing a recall for its “Fresh All-Natural Brined Whole Turkey.” The company says the turkeys did not meet their quality standards, as they had an “off odor.”

A statement from the store says they have no knowledge of the turkeys posing a health or safety risk.

The following UPCs (bar codes) on turkeys purchased between Nov. 18 to Nov. 23 are being recalled:

  • Lunds & Byerlys Fresh Brined Whole Turkey 10-14 lb. — UPC 25222500000
  • Lunds & Byerlys Fresh Brined Whole Turkey 14-16 lb. — UPC 25221500000

  • Lunds & Byerlys Fresh Brined Whole Turkey 20-24 lb. — UPC 252216000000

Lunds & Byerlys says any customer who bought a recalled turkey can bring the product into any store for a full refund.
