MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Christmas came early for some Minnesota children and their families Tuesday night.

The children from Make-A-Wish Minnesota took a flight to the North Pole to see Santa.

It was not your typical flight out of MSP International.

While the Sun Country Airlines flight taxied on the runway, volunteers turned their arriving gate into a magical winter wonderland. Santa and his elves were there to pose for pictures and hand out presents.

Sun Country Airlines has been making the annual Flight to the North Pole since 2008.
