MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minneapolis Police Department said Sunday it's continuing to ask for the public's help to find the person responsible for the December 2011 shooting death of 3-year-old Terrell Mayes.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and authorities haven't stopped looking for clues in the case. Mayes was shot and killed by a stray bullet on Dec. 26, 2011 as he was running up the stairs of his home on the 2600 block of Colfax Ave. N.

Authorities say they have received countless tips and leads in the case over the past four years. CrimeStoppers is offering a $60,000 reward for anyone who can provide information leading to the case being solved.

Anyone with information should call the Minneapolis Police Department or CrimeStoppers at 1-877-996-6222.
