MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The Minnesota Timberwolves announced Tuesday they’ve recalled guard Tyus Jones from the Idaho Stampede in the NBA’s Developmental League.
Jones started six games there and averaged 24.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, five assists and 1.5 steals in about 35 minutes per game. He shot better than 48 percent from the field, including 42.6 percent from three-point range.
In his last game before being called up by the Timberwolves, Jones scored 30 points and added five rebounds and five assists.
The Timberwolves traded their two second-round picks in the 2015 NBA Draft to Cleveland to get Jones with the 24th overall pick. He’s appeared in two games with the Timberwolves this season.
