MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A West St. Paul middle school has adopted a shark to learn about the birds and bees.

SEA LIFE Aquarium Minnesota donated a whitespotted bamboo shark to the kids at Heritage Middle School Wednesday afternoon.

It will be used as part of the school’s E-STEM curriculum. The shark will live in one of their many saltwater and freshwater aquariums.

A student marine team will pair up the male shark with a female shark in the coming months with hopes of making babies.
