It's Been One Of The Warmest Minnesota Decembers Ever

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Temperatures were notably colder on New Year's Eve, but the start of the new year marks the end of one of our warmest Decembers ever.

Temperatures this month have been nearly 15 degrees above average, as WCCO's Kylie Bearse reported earlier Thursday.

Across the state, many lakes still have open water, such as Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis earlier this week.

The shorter ice fishing season means resorts that cater to anglers are taking a hit in the wallet.
