Lambeau Field Needs Volunteers For 2nd Day of Shoveling

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Shovelers will be back at it again getting Lambeau Field clear of snow before Sunday night's showdown between the Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Vikings.

More than 800 shovelers turned out Thursday to help prepare the stadium. But Lambeau needs a second day to finish removing snow and to spread ice melt.

The Packers need as many as 250 shovelers to finish the job. Volunteers are asked to report to the Mills Fleet Farm Gate on Lambeau's west side, starting at 8 a.m. Friday and continuing through the day as needed.

Shovelers must be at least 15 years old and will receive $10 an hour, to be paid immediately after their work is completed. The Packers will provide the shovels.

The game will decide the NFC North champion.
