Marin Restaurant & Bar
If you want to ring in the New Year in downtown Minneapolis, Marin is promising a dance party with no lines and free cover. Plus, there’s an ice bar and a free champagne toast at midnight.
It’s always a huge party at The Pourhouse in downtown Minneapolis. From 9:30 p.m. until 2:00 a.m., get your dance on in the 12,000-square-foot Prohibition-themed club. For $85, you get entry and an open bar all night.
Betty Danger’s Country Club
Crimp your hair and pull out the shoulder pads for a 1980s-themed New Year’s disco ball at Betty Danger’s in Northeast Minneapolis. For $15, you get in on the dance party, sleigh rides and champagne at midnight.
Looking for something more family friendly and active? Buck Hill in Burnsville has special ski and tubing rates for New Year’s Eve. Stay on the hills until midnight for $15 per lift ticket. There will be special shows and activities for kids, and don’t miss the fireworks at midnight.
If you are looking for a quieter night, head to Wood Lake in Richfield. You can follow hundreds of candle-lit luminaries on a walking trail or go ice skiing which for just $4 per person. There will also be marshmallows to roast over a crackling fire.
