1 Dead In St. Louis Co. Logging Accident

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One man is dead after a logging accident in St. Louis County Thursday.

According to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, around 5:30 p.m. the sheriff's office responded to a call of a logging accident roughly seven miles west of Cook, Minn.

Upon arrival, officers learned that Scott Thomas, 52, had been logging a section of woods off of Wein Road when a tree he was cutting fell on top of him.

Thomas was pronounced dead on the scene.
