The Kvalvogs and two other boys were heading to a basketball camp in Wisconsin. A survivor told authorities that a semi-truck was “extremely close” to their pickup just before the crash.
On Wednesday, the state patrol released pictures of the semi, which was determined by investigators to be in the vicinity of and time of the crash.
The semi is described as a late-80s to mid-90s Kenworth tractor, Model T600 to T800, with an Aerodyne sleeper and dark blue cab.
