Vikings Safety Harrison Smith Named To 1st Pro Bowl

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minnesota Vikings safety Harrison Smith will be heading to Hawaii -- and his first career Pro Bowl.

On Monday, the team announced Smith will be the first defensive back from the team to be named to the Pro Bowl since cornerback Antoine Winfield in 2010.

During the 2015 campaign, Smith recorded 87 tackles (56 solo), six quarterback hurries, three tackles for loss, two interceptions, two passes defended, 1.5 sacks and one forced fumble.

The Knoxville, Tennessee native is the eighth Vikings' safety to get a Pro Bowl nod. He replaces Seahawks' Earl Thomas, who is sidelined with an injury.
