MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — After a healthy dose of winter weather this week, we’re all ready to get outside and enjoy the snow.
There is a fantastic line-up of events taking place to help you embrace winter in Minnesota!
Thousands of cross-country skiers are converging on Minneapolis this weekend for the loppet.
Registration is filling up fast for the 25 different loppet events taking place Friday through Sunday.
This year you can also enjoy speed skating, and don’t miss the snow sculptures and the majestic Luminary Loppet Saturday.
Plan your outdoor adventure in Canada this weekend at Canterbury Park.
The All-Canada Show features Canada’s best fishing and hunting destinations, free seminars and maps.
There’s also a chance to win four fantastic fishing trips and a $2,000 fishing equipment package.
Admission is $10 for adults; children 17 and under are free.

The World’s Toughest Rodeo is making a stop in St. Paul for two shows Friday and Saturday.
Champion cowboys will compete in bareback riding and bullriding, while the ladies will be vying for the championship title in barrel racing.
Tickets start at $18 for adults and $10.25 for kids 12 and under.
Head west to Lake Minnetonka for a unique frozen golf event. Three 9-hole courses are carved right on the ice.
Hundreds of golfers come with clubs and hockey sticks to putt with tennis balls on Wayzata Bay.
With “super heroes” as the theme, this year’s event kicks off Friday with free cinema and skates, a family night.
The golf tournament is Saturday with limited tee times available for $40 per golfer.
