St. Anthony Ink Company Cleaning Up After Overnight Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – An ink company in St. Anthony has a big mess to clean up after an overnight fire.

Early Monday morning, an alarm company alerted firefighters about a fire at Mallard Ink Company, located on the 2800 block of Anthony Avenue South.

Fire officials said it appeared that a machine caught fire, causing the blaze. Sprinklers took care of most of the flames before crews arrived, but there was a lot of smoke.

Firefighters had to cut power to the building, so that will affect operations Monday as the company cleans up and investigates what lead the machine to catch fire.

No one was hurt.
