Minnesota Nat'l Guard Appoints First Female General
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Minnesota National Guard now has its first female general.
Air Force Colonel Sandra Best was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General during a ceremony Thursday.
The Minneapolis native joined the 133rd Airlift Wing in 1984 and has served a tour of duty in Afghanistan.
Best will now serve as chief of staff for the Minnesota National Guard as well as other duties.
