Chief: 2 People, 1 Dog Escape Maple Grove House Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A car fire in a garage spread to a Maple Grove home Wednesday evening.

Fire Chief Scott Anderson said the fire was at a home on the 8900 block of Sycamore Lane.

The car fire spread to other vehicles in the garage before spreading to the ceiling, and then the home connected to it.

Two people and one dog were home at the time, but all made it out safely. No one was injured.

Anderson says the damage is substantial, and the home will likely be uninhabitable for several weeks as it is rebuilt.
