MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – From the passing of longtime Minnesota congressman Martin Sabo to violence rallies for Donald Trump, here's a look at the top four stories from Monday, March 14, 2016.

Violence At Trump Rallies

Donald Trump is rejecting taking any responsibility for violence at his rallies over the weekend.

He's also defending his supporters who have been charged with assaulting protestors. On Twitter, Trump blamed the disruptions on Bernie Sanders supporters.

Tuesday, voters in five more states will make their picks for president.

Martin Sabo Dies At 78

Longtime Minnesota congressman Martin Sabo is being remembered as a great political leader and outstanding public servant.

He died Sunday at Abbot Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. His exact cause of death was not immediately known.

Sabo served 18 years in the Minnesota legislature, 28 years in the U.S. House and retired in 2006. He was 78-years-old.

Dog Killed In Snowmobile Crash On Iditarod Trail

Mushers are pushing their dogs closer toward the finish line in Alaska's Iditarod despite a setback over the weekend.

A snowmobiler crashed into two top competitors, killing one dog and injuring others.

The 26-year-old said he was coming home from a night of drinking when he hit the teams. He was going about 100 miles per hour.

Study Finds Women Need More Sleep

A new study states that if someone should be allowed to sleep in a bit, it should be women.

A British researcher said women generally need more sleep than men, but they're usually the ones suffering from a lack of sleep.

The researcher said women's brains are more complex than men's so their need for sleep is greater.
