Gas Prices Jump In N.D.; Upward Trend Expected To Continue
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Gasoline prices continue to rise in North Dakota by more than a dime a week.
GasBuddy.com reports the average retail price of a gallon of gas rose about 11 cents per gallon in the last week, after rising nearly 11 cents per gallon the previous week and more than 12 cents the week before that.
The average is now $1.94 per gallon. But that's still 48 cents a gallon cheaper than a year ago.
The national average increased 12 cents per gallon in the past week, to $1.93.
Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan says the upward trend in gas prices will continue, and the national average will soon hit $2 per gallon. But he says motorists still could see the cheapest average summer gas prices in more than a decade.
