Police: 2 Juveniles Robbed By 2 Suspects At St. Thomas Minneapolis Campus

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities are looking for two suspects after two juvenile females were robbed Wednesday on the Minneapolis campus of St. Thomas.

The St. Thomas Department of Public Safety says the incident happened at about 8:18 p.m. between Minneapolis Opus Hall and the Ryan Co. office building. A juvenile female went to the public safety desk at Opus Hall and told authorities she and a close friend had been robbed in the skyway.

The victim said the two were close to LaSalle Avenue when they were assaulted by two unidentified suspects that were possibly known to them. The suspects took their phones, cash, a backpack and jacket from the victims before fleeing toward Hennepin Avenue.

Minneapolis police responded to the incident, and a knife was recovered from the scene. It's not clear if the knife was used in the crime. Authorities did not get a suspect description, and the victims later left campus with parents.

Anyone with information about the incident should call the Minneapolis Police Department at (612) 692-8477.
