New Timeline In Minneapolis Superintendent Search

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minneapolis school district has set a new timeline for hiring its next superintendent.

The district hired DHR International to recruit and screen candidates.

Over the next month, an 11-person committee made up of school board members, parents and a student will review potential candidates.

Finalists will be named by May 31.

The board hopes to approve a new superintendent contract by June 28.

The district has been without a permanent superintendent since 2014.

The school board rejected its previous top choice after abuse allegations arose in his old district.
