Xcel Energy Center Hosting NCAA Hockey West Regional

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- The University of Minnesota hockey team is not in the NCAA Tournament, but at least one local team will be in St. Paul for next weekend's West Regional.

St. Cloud State is one of four teams that will be at Xcel Energy Center next Friday and Saturday. The other teams in the regional include Denver, Boston University and Ferris State. The Huskies are the No. 2 overall seed and will face Ferris State at 2 p.m. Friday. The winner advances to the title game at 4 p.m. Saturday.

The winner of the regional advances to the Frozen Four, which is set for April 7-9 in Tampa Bay, Fla.
