Police: Third Grader Burned At Elementary School In Rogers
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities say a third grade girl suffered possible third-degree burns at an elementary school in Rogers after sticking a paper clip in an open floor outlet.
The Rogers Police Department received the call at about 3 p.m. to Hassan Elementary School. When authorities arrived, a third-grade student had opened a floor outlet in a media room and stuck a paper clip in it, causing burns to her hands.
Authorities say the girls' fingers that came into contact with the paper clip were black. The student was conscious and breathing.
Medical personnel were tending to the student, who was waiting for her father before a possible trip to the hospital for a further examination.
