MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Phony money is making business owners in Eden Prairie and the Garrison-area furious.

Fake $100 bills have shown up at some Eden Prairie business in the past month. The bills are clearly labeled “For Motion Picture Use Only” on the front and back.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office received several reports in the past week of counterfeit $10 and $20 bills used in transactions which look “very realistic.”

Investigators are following several leads, and urge anyone with information about the source of this fake currency to call 911.
