Lutsen’s marketing director Jim Vick said as the weather began to warm they focused their time on the north facing side of Eagle Mountain so they could better manage what little snow was made or left and open for sporadic weekends.

“By strategically stockpiling snow, we can replenish when the spring sun takes its toll and keep a consistent base into May. Our hard-core fans love these extended weekends,” Vick said.

Lutsen will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
