MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One man is dead after a fire engulfed a home in Brooklyn Park overnight.
Officials say crews received a call of a fire in Brooklyn Park just after midnight. The call came from a driver who could see the flames while traveling on Highway 252. Upon arrival, the house was already engulfed in flames.

After quelling the flames, firefighters found the body of a man inside the home. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire. At this point, they’ve found nothing suspicious.
