Go 'Beyond Bollywood' At The Minn. History Center

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A lot of what you know about Indian culture may have come from so-called "Bollywood" movies.

It makes sense, in a way, since a lot of American culture is exported through Hollywood movies.

But a new exhibit at St. Paul's Minnesota History Center is hoping to move people beyond that mindset.

"Beyond Bollywood" includes artifacts, oral histories and reflections from Minnesota's own Indian-American community, highlighting their vital contributions to all of our lives.

The exhibit opens Saturday, and runs through July 10. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for those ages 5 to 17.
