Tap Talk: Indeed Brewing Hosts 2016 Whirlygig For Art-A-Whirl

This weekend it's all about the ABCs of summer – art, beer and concerts!

Art-A-Whirl returns to Minneapolis' Northeast neighborhood, and to celebrate Indeed is hosting is 2016 Whirlygig!

Friday through Sunday people are invited to come enjoy beautiful works of art, creative craft brews and original tunes at Indeed Brewing.

The party kicks off the return of the LSD Honey Ale, aka the Lavender, Sunflower Honey Ale. Shenanigans Summer Ale and Wooden Soul will also be available, as well as an assortment of Indeed's year round offerings.

In conjunction with First Avenue, Indeed will be showcasing almost 20 local bands.

The schedule is as follows:

Friday: Gabe Douglas at 6 p.m.; Sam Cassidy Band at 7 p.m.; Nato Coles & the Blue Diamond Band at 8 p.m. and Eleganza at 9 p.m.

Saturday: The Ventures Cover Band at 1 p.m.; Cherry Cola at 2 p.m.; Rupert Angeleyes at 3 p.m.; Dosh at 4 p.m.; Fort Wilson Riot at 5 p.m.; Birthday Suits at 6 p.m.; The Blind Shake at 7 p.m.; Bloodnstuff at 8 p.m. and the Black Eyed Snakes at 9 p.m.

Sunday: The Federales at 1 p.m.; Dusty Heart at 2 p.m.; Matt Latterell at 3 p.m.; Superior Siren at 4 p.m. and Charlie Parr at 5 p.m.

Doors open at noon each day.

In addition to music, festival goers can take part in the Minnesota Brewery Running Series' Indeed 5k. The race will be held on Sunday, May 22. Blue Goose Photo Booth will be taking photos.

Whirlygig 2016 is cash only. Wristbands will be required for entry into the patio and taproom. Cost is $1. The party will take place rain or shine and will be held during regular taproom hours. Families and kids are welcome, but due to the crowded nature of the event it is asked that dogs stay at home.

The Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association's 21st annual Art-A-Whirl takes place Friday, May 20 through Sunday, May 22.

Art-A-Whirl locations will be open from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, 12 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 12 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
