Prescribed Burn Becomes Wildfire In Superior Forest

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials in Superior National Forest say crews are working to contain a wildfire after a prescribed burn Thursday afternoon got out of control.

The fire escaped the prescribed zone northwest of Foss Lake, north of Highway 169 near Robinson.

Officials say airtankers, helicopters and ground forces are fighting the flames.
