Sheriff: 1 Dead In Lake Minnetonka Medical Emergency
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities say one person died Sunday night in an apparent medical emergency on Lake Minnetonka.
The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office received a report of a medical emergency at about 7:24 p.m. on Lake Minnetonka near Smith's Bay involving an unconscious adult male. The Orono Police Department and Long Lake Fire Department also responded to the scene.
When first responders arrived, they attempted to resuscitate the man, who was eventually pronounced dead at the scene. It's not known what led up to the man's death, and the name of the man has not been released.
The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office says the man's death is under investigation.
