State Patrol: Man On Motorized Bicycle Struck By Car, Seriously Injured

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 40-year-old Brainerd man is in the hospital with serious injuries after he was struck by a car while riding a motorized bicycle, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The state patrol says the incident occurred shortly before 7 p.m. Monday at Oak Street and 9th Street in Brainerd. There, a Pontiac Grand Prix struck the pedestrian on the motorized bicycle.

The pedestrian, identified as 40-year-old Troy Thompson, was taken to the North Memorial Medical Center with serious injuries.

The occupants of the vehicle were uninjured.
