MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — We don’t blame you if you’re already Working for the Weekend. After all, we are coming up on a long holiday weekend.
We have events to fill it, including one that begins Thursday night and another that is sure to be fun for the whole family.
It’s a summer experience 80 million years in the making. Now through Labor Day at the Minnesota Zoo, you can get face-to-face with life-size roaring, moving (and even spitting) dinosaurs.
Twenty different creatures will be on display, including an 18-foot, 7,000-pound Tyrannosaurus rex.
Tickets are $5 with regular zoo admission.
Tee up-on the terrace at the Walker Art Center as Skyline Mini Golf Opens for the season.
Due to the renovation of the Walker/Minneapolis Sculpture Garden campus, you can putt a 9-hole course on the rooftop!
If you go Thursday, take advantage of Target Free Thursday nights and visit the Walker for free!
Or celebrate the unofficial start to summer with a free concert at the Lake Harriet Band Shell!
From Memorial Day through Labor Day, Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board hosts more than 200 concerts and 70 movies as part of the Minneapolis Music and Movies in the Parks series.
The first concert of the season is Monday. Music starts at 5:30 p.m.
Come hungry, there will be food trucks!
