MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Police have arrested several suspects after a woman was fatally shot Thursday night in Minneapolis.

The shooting happened near the intersection of Penn and 21st Avenues North just after 6 p.m.

Police say the woman, who appears to have been an innocent bystander, was shot while she was inside a minivan.

The victim was taken to North Memorial Medical Center, where she later died from her injuries.

The number of suspects in custody is not clear, but police say they were found in a nearby residence on the 2100 block of Oliver Avenue N.
