State Patrol: Alcohol Involved In Fatal Le Sueur County Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The state patrol says a suspected drunk driver is to blame for the death of a young woman from Winthrop.

The crash happened on Friday afternoon near Le Center on Highway 99.

Troopers say 24-year-old Modesto Domingo was heading west when he crossed into the other lane. He crashed head on with a car driven by 21-year-old Alison Mackie, who died on scene. Investigators believe Domingo was drinking.

Criminal records show Domingo has two DWI convictions. He was on supervised probation, but that ended in September of last year.
