Herman School Graduates Class Of 2016 ... All 1 Of Them

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- High schools all over the state are graduating the class of 2016, and that's no different in Herman, Minnesota.

The only major variable in this case is a matter of class size.

Caroline Rimel is the Herman-Norcross Community School's senior class president. She's also the valedictorian.

In fact, she makes up her entire graduating class.

"I guess it hasn't really sunk in yet that I'm not coming back to high school next year," she said.

In a ceremony last Friday, the entire school showed up to support Rimel as she walked to the center of the school gym to get her diploma.

Nearby, the school prepared to host her graduation party in the school cafeteria.

"She's been an amazing student and, I don't know, it's very emotional for me," teacher Jayne Oachs said.
